Pin Smackers:
Abhi
Eugene
Sony
Adam
Andre
The Pin Smackers one of the teams in the leagues that has one of the best chances to win the South Asian Bowling league title. Looking at this team we see the cast of characters. Any time you have a team that has players with nick names you know that you are in trouble. This team is led by Abhi aka the Mayor. Abhi is seen in East Meadow Bowling lanes by many during the week. Abhi is an adept pitcher in the South Asian Softball League where he is known for his control and consistency. On the Bowling lanes Abhi is known as a player who consistently can bowl, bowl, bowl. He had most of the high games in the Summer season and on this team he becomes a formidable anchor. The second player that we have to watch out for is probably going to be their 3rd bowler and that is Eugene aka Aaron Rodgers. Whether or not he is going to be doing his flex, after his spare, or the Aaron Rodgers belt after his strike. Being a lefty he gets consistent lanes, so once he finds his groove it is tough for him to be beaten. Lastly we have the most improved bowler in the league, Sony "Sneak Sneaky" Singh. Sneaky Sneaky as he was affectionately called by the Daddy of the league Ayaz. Was due to the fact that Sony had the innate ability to sneak up on his opponents. But Sony has put in the time and practiced and has turned himself from an average bowler to someone who can bowl 180-190 in a game and thus break your teams spirit. With Adam and Andre you have two bowlers who have experience who can bring in the advantage of a massive handicap. This provides them with the cushion that they need. In games when they are going to be bowling above their average this team almost becomes unbeatable.

Balls N Strikes
Wahid O.
Mustafa S.
Alisher S.
AbdulSattar N.
Hakim N.
Wally N.
Ali N.
Not much is known about this team in the bowling lanes of the South Asian Bowling League. But those in the know have begun to heard a buzz about this team.
Wahid O one of the best pitchers in the SouthAsianSoftballLeague will bring his array of control to the game and some are saying he has the potential to be in the top 10. Hakim and Ali both are regular bowlers and should be a consistent 2,3 for this team, when you factor in the handicap that all teams get. These two are poised to take advantage and to win their positions quite regularly. Mustafa Saeed we all know as the person who probably throws the straight ball the slowest yet hits the biggest shots. In season 1 there were many back breaking moments when Mustafa came up clutch in key situations all the while throwing the ball so slow that it only prolonged the agony of his opponents. Abdul Sattar brings his veteran poise and has bowled in the South Asian Bowling League and figure him to take advantage of the handicap.
The consensus on this team is that with the handicap this team just has to bowl their average to be dangerous, in the games that a few of them bowl 10-20 pins above their average they are going to be very formidable. Wahid Omarzai is known as someone who doesn't get rattled and has ice in his veins, being in the closer role is nothing new to him.

Strike Kings Preview
Ammad Sheikh
Nisar Ahmed
Don Ali Nasrallah
Raheel Malick
Yasser Mir
Eddie Santana
Azfar Malick
Azfar Malick
Strike Kings may be bringing one of the deepest teams we have in the South Asian Bowling League. They are returning players such as Nisar who has quietly improved his game and won many games in the summer single-handedly. They also bring back Ammad who has bowled better every week since he got his own ball. Newcomers Raheel and Yassir have previous bowling experience so with practice I expect them to get better every week. One of the biggest free agent splash was when Eddie Santana landed with the Strike Kings. Eddie, who was the anchor on The Other Guys summer team, decided to come to a team who has a real chance of bringing home a title. He averaged a whopping 177 in the summer time, and expect him only to increase his game. Eddie will be their anchor and his big game experience that Strike Kings will need. The most important bowler on their team, and the number two bowler in the league, is Don Ali. In real estate its all about location, location, location. Well with Don Ali its consistent, consistent, consistent. He averaged over 200 in the summer and expect him to be even higher this season. With Eddie and Don Ali, the team has one of the one two punches; expect them to be on top of the leader board.
Strike Kings will need Nisar and Ammad to bowl well to match-up with the league's best. We know week in and week out Eddie and Don Ali will be bowling lights out. Nisar and Ammad who are getting a lot of handicap have to step it up if Strike Kings wants to chance to hold the trophy at the end of the season. Look for big things from Nisar, as he had his best games in pressure situations
Snipers Preview
Gage Nestor
Patrick Vatel
Guerrier Connor
Uday Gosalia
Yasar Bokhari
The unknown team known as the Snipers is led by 'Chocolate Thunder,' Gage. He is coming off a summer finals victory with the Four Horsemen, where his teammates called him the MVP of their playoff run. Gage cracked the top ten averaging 170 and is practicing every week to get better. He is bringing 3 rookies to his team but don’t let that fool you. His team can bowl and other teams should be worried. His team includes Uday, Yasar, Pat, and the man who I predict will crack the top 10 Guerrier. Every single week they are at East Meadow practicing, and they are excited to have a shot to take home the gold. From what we know so far Guerrier will be their anchor who has the skill to easily crack the 200 range. He will be giving anchors all over the league a hard time. Uday, Pat, and Yasar are just starting out to bowl but they already shown flashes and are the perfect ingredients that the Snipers need to win the title.
We all know what Gage can do. Gage will bowl 200 after 200 when it counts like he did in the finals. Guerrier who is new to the league, but we can already tell he will be consistent and wreak havoc for opposing teams. The darkhorses for this team are Yasar, Pat, and Uday. These three are fairly new bowlers averaging around 130-160. IF these three men can practice and pick up their games they will be tough to beat, especially with their handicap factored in.
Strikes 'n' Spares Preview
Raza Dastgir
Mufthy Dastgir
Amaad Bhatti
Naeem Bawla
Omair Hussain
Jason Reis
This season they made the biggest splash in the off-season signing the league's clear cut #1 bowler in Jason Reis. Not only will Jason make up for any off games by other members of the team, they now have the league's best closer in any match that's close down the stretch. A deep team just solved their possible one weakness. With the team featuring Raza, Mufthy, and Jason, they are arguably the deepest team in the league. Matching-up against this team will be a nightmare.
All the good non-withstanding, they will have to adjust to (likely) having the league's lowest handicap. That means they have to bring it every game, as they will be at a disadvantage. They also have to bring it every game as Raza has almost single-handedly painted a target on the team's back. Posting up personal high scores, promising the season being over before it has begun, he's drawn a lot of attention from others in the league. Is this all intimidation tactics? Confidence? Arrogance? Regardless, these were all big words from a team that has one team playoff victory, and no series victories. We know Jason has performed in the clutch, but how will the rest of his team respond with their captain acting like he's never been there before?
Expect this team to be one of the league's best, and currently the pre-season favorites with the Pin Pals to win the title.
Asian Sensation Preview
Yash Mahajan
Khaled Ahmedy
Adam Chamowitz
Jin Park
Latif Sadiqi
Amin Sadiqi
Justin Reis
Asian Sensation brings back all their men that reached the summer finals which include Yash, Amin, Adam, Khaled, Latif, and Jin. This is a team that every game got better throughout the winter and summer seasons and will be a tough team to beat each week. They made one of shocking signings in the off-season by adding Justin Reis, who when he shows up will make the Sensations one of deepest teams in the league. Yash and Khaled were a formidable 3-4 combo as they averaged 170 and 175 pins respectively (both of whom cracked the top 10). Adding Justin who averages 183 will be making many teams sweat when they step up to the lanes. Amin, Adam, Latif, and Jin all have huge playoff experience which means they will be not be phased this year. It should be interesting how far that experience plus their skill set can take them.
Justin won’t be there that often, so the keys of this team are Amin, Adam, Latif, and Jin. Yash and Khaled will always come out strong so its on the other members to step up. They will be getting a lot of handicap from their lower averages, and they will have to use that towards their advantage if Asian Sensation wants to bring home the title in March. If Justin could get the minimum games in and bowl in the playoffs they could very well be the darkhorse team to win the playoffs.

Team Preview - Pin Pals
Pin Pals Roster:
Ayaz Dar
Asif Siddiqui
Chris Farrell
David Deblasio
Siddique Farooqi
Ammar Yousuf
The previews kick off with the champs from season one, the Pin Pals. They have 2 of the premier bowlers in the league in Asif and Ayaz. They have arguably the best big match performer in Ayaz. Arguably they're the best duo in the league. However, they won season one based on depth. So Chris and Dave will have to repeat their performance in big spots, and improve their overall game as the competition has gotten better in the league.
Without Riz and Moe, the team will be getting a decent sized handicap. While Asif and Ayaz will get only a few pins, the rest of the team will likely be getting at least 40 pins each. This gives the team some versatility. That being said, it's going to be vital for the other members of the team to bowl above their average in pressure situations. While Ammar does not have much bowling experience, the rest of the team does. Even newcomer Sid has already tasted a title, and has been to two playoffs in two seasons in SABowl.
Don't be fooled though; this team will go as far as Asif and Ayaz take them. If both bowlers are in the top 5 (as they were last winter), they will once again be one of the favorites to win the title.
