The Dudes vs Pins Go Down Week 1 Post game 6/6/13

The Dudes vs Pins Go Down!

The Matchup with all the variables came down to Pins Go Down led by Abhi Kumar vs The Dudes let my Amin Sadiqi. Wahid showed up unexpectedly to this game showing that The Dudes mean business. In the first week it is also important to jump out of the gate, so we will see what happened.

Game 1: Score: 799- 736 Victory the dudes; Points 5 - 2, The dudes.

The dudes has Wahid and Alisher led with hot game of 193 and a 151 to take the individual points and win the game without the mayor in game 1. To avoid a full loss of game 1, Abbas and Jeff got individual points. Wahid showed in this game that there was no rust coming off his championship win the previous season. Abhi being the mayor didn't bowl in this game and probably could of won the game if he had bowled. I guess we will never bowl.

Game 2: Score: 824 - 795 Victory Pins Go Down! ; Points 5 - 2, Pins Go Down

Mayor Abhi  came in to shake off that game 1 loss bowling his usually 215. Wahid showing no fear beat the mayor straight up by bowling a 217. Jeff and Abbas took their respective points bowling a 160 and 158 scratch. Dave bowled a 129 which he knows he is capable of doing better than that. Dave has to bowl a better game down the road if The Dudes  want a chance to win more games.

Game 3: Score: 920-821 The Dudes; Points 6 - 1, The Dudes.

Both teams relatively tied after 2 games and one team will outlast the others in which the dudes claimed getting 6 points vs Pins Go Down. The mayor got his revenge by beating Wahid 226 to 166 taking the only point for Pins Go Down. Right on cue Dave bowled a 225 scratch winning his point and sealing the deal for The Dudes victory. Alisher also contributed with his high of this early season with a 197.

The Dudes 15  Pins Go Down 8.    Pins Go Down took total pins 2514 to 2381

Strike Kings vs Black and Tan (Snipers) Recap Week 1 6/6/13

In this match-up a re-tool Strike Kings team featuring Raza, Mufthy,
and newcomer Alan, faced Black and Tan, a team that has 2 players from
the Snipers (Pat and Gage), a player from Force (Prince) and a
newcomer (Brian)

Game 1 showed rust for the Strike Kings.  With a lineup of Nisar,
Raza, Mufthy, and Don, Raza was the high score for the team with a
160.  A number of splits occurred, which is going to happen with rust,
but some small pin spare conversions were missed stopping the Strike
Kings from having some big games.  Meanwhile, Black and Tan got off to
a great start.  Pat's game showed improvement with a 136, Gage bowled
his usual 171, and Prince had the game of the night, starting the
summer season with a 255.  Black and Tan took all 7 points in game 1,
with a scratch team score of 682-565.

Strike Kings re-grouped in game 2 and brought in Ammad and Alan for
Mufthy and Don, and their results were mixed.  Raza again led the team
with a 160, but was 2 missed spares away from a 190 game.  For Black
and Tan, Prince came back down to earth with a 177, but Pat once again
picked up the slack bowling a new career high of 154.  While Strike
Kings won scratch, because of the handicap, BnT took game 2 as well
6-1, with Ammad scoring a point for the Strike Kings.

In game 3, Strike Kings got the rust off as Alan led the team with a
179.  Raza had a 177, and Ammad had a 172.  For BnT, Gage bowled a
180, but missed his spare in the 10th, giving Ammad his 2nd win of the
night (by 1 pin in this game).  Meanwhile, Pat topped his game 2
performance with a new career high of 158, proving that his hard work
was going to pay off.  BnT wins game 3 5-2, with Ammad and Alan taking
points for the Strike Kings.

Final score: Black and Tan 20, Strike Kings 3

Brian and Pat were big contributors as they both scored 3 points for
the Black and Tan.  Prince's huge game 1 being a clear aberration,
still was in mid-season form and got 2 points.  Gage may have only
scored 1 point, but 2 of his 3 games were 170+.  BnT could be a team
to watch out for if Pat keeps playing well, and Gage and Prince keep
carrying the team until SABowl vets Alan Tang (Force) and Guerrier
Connor (Snipers) return to action.

For the Strike Kings, Alan said he hadn't bowled in 2 years, yet by
the end of game 3, was throwing strikes with ease and power.  Also, as
a lefty, he won't have to worry about oil-conditions changing too
much.  Ammad looks like he hasn't lost it from last season either,
putting up a 172, and taking 2 points from Gage.  Once Nisar gets
going, and the rest of the roster is set, the Strike Kings will be
their usual dangerous team.

Week 1 Previews

We’re BAAAAaaaccKK! It’s that time of year again, where it’s actually okay to wear shorts and bowling shoes together. Cough, cough Reis. The weather is heating up and it’s a sure thing the East Meadow Lanes will be as well. It’s been a long hiatus since the fall season and we all miss Don Ali’s opened armed strikes, Amin’s UFC Roar, Reis’s no look strike, Ahbi advising everyone except himself, and yes even Raza’s complaining. This Thursday marks the opening of a grueling summer season, where everybody has improved and there is no clear favorite.

Pins Go Down vs. The Dude

Well, what can I say about this match up so early in the season. Pins Go Down, Ahbi do you have full team??? Ahbi aka Mr. 300, can surely hold his own, but who’s on your team. So far two unknowns on his roster but I’m sure he’s got something planned. The Dudes on the other hand have a plethora of talent, big names such as Khaled Ahmedy, Amin Sadiqi, much improved David Deblasio, and everyone's favorite Alisher. Right now, going only by preparedness, I’d give it to The Dudes.

Strike Kings vs. Snipers

These two teams have no shortage of SA Bowl heavy hitters. The Strike Kings have Don Ali, Mufthy Dastigir, and a little birdie has told me, Alan Dworetsky is a ringer that can go toe to toe with Reis himself. Does it really matter who their fourth man will be??? The Snipers have shifted and made some critical changes to make them a likely contender. Along with Guerrier and Gage, Prince has finally come to his senses and joined a team that will actually show to matches. I’ve personally seen Guerrier play in the Tuesday night league, he’s a dangerous individual. This ones a tough call, but I give it to the Snipers.

Mean Machine vs. The Lane Warriors

Fireworks will fly with these two very talented teams. Mean Machine returns with Jason Reis at the helm and his better counterpart Justin to deliver a one, two punch. With experienced players like Sid Farooqi and Shazad, don’t underestimate these high handicapped players. A little birdie has told me Reis is about to make history, well have to see what that actually is.  Then comes a team that people thought would never happen, The Lane Warriors. After three hard years of smack talk between these two players, Ayaz and Yash have set aside their differences. Along with the return of Adam Chaimowitz, Eugene Lampione, and the ever so consistent Shumail Haque. This match up will be decided mainly upon the teams weakest links. The Lane Warriors take it.
